ESM Technologies Receives GMP Certification from NSF International

ESM Technologies, the leading supplier of innovative, commercialized eggshell and eggshell membrane wellness ingredients, recently received their Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) certification from NSF International.

GMPs are regulatory requirements recognized worldwide for quality control and management of all aspects of manufacturing, from raw material control to finished product release, as well as employee training, validation of testing equipment, product traceability and facility maintenance.  These guidelines for necessary processes, procedures, and documentation verify that ESM Technologies-manufactured products have the identity, strength, composition, quality, and purity that they are represented to possess.

“Certification by NSF International demonstrates our continued assurance to maintaining exceptional quality standards, which has been made even more critical by the evolving regulatory environment in the U.S., the EU, & around the world,” comments Dr. Kevin Ruff, Director of Scientific and Regulatory Affairs for ESM.

GMPs for the current NSF Dietary Supplements Program are included in NSF American National Standard 173-Dietary Supplements, the only American National Standard for Dietary Supplements, and are consistent with the requirements that the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has outlined in 21 CFR § 111.

For meeting GMP requirements, ESM Technologies is listed on the NSF Web site ( To ensure continued performance, NSF will conduct periodic audits at ESM Technologies’ facility in Carthage, MO.
