ESM/Stratum Continue Efforts for Moore, OK after 2013 Tornado

20140416_bulbs1In 2013, ESM Technologies joined with Stratum Nutrition to help support the victims of the Moore, Oklahoma EF5 tornado that hit May 20th.  We are continuing efforts into 2014 with the Flower Bulb Project, and the bulbs are now unearthed and being sent to Moore!

After Carthage’s neighboring town, Joplin MO, was hit by an EF5 tornado May 22, 2011, our company was moved to “pay it forward” to the Moore area.  ESM has been acting as “foster parent” IMAG0460to over 1,700 bulbs that were planted last summer on the grounds at ESM.

America Responds With Love donated over 100,000 bulbs to Moore, Shawnee and surrounding areas affected by May 2013 tornados. Some of the bulbs were temporarily being taken care of here in the Joplin area, and the Moore area is now ready for them.  More than 100,000 flower bulbs will be planted in Respond With Love Gardens, located on public lands and publicly-viewable areas of the 11 communities devastated in central Oklahoma during the storms of 2013.  These garden sites will include parks, schools, community centers, and other public facilities as well as along roadways and at entrances to communities on publicly-viewable lands. They anticipate the flower bulbs will be distributed to the communities from Oklahoma City on May 3rd, which is the anniversary of a previous 1999 tornado that also hit Moore, OK.
